Our LG dryer stopped heating after 4 months (separate complaint...why would something fail after only 4 months!). I reached out to LG and service was arranged through MGR appliance Repair in Denver. Apparently, this is a new territory for MGR, based in California. They sent technician Samvel to repair the dryer. He said he would be able to fix it and that one of the most common reasons if a malfunctioning thermostat. The first visit he told my wife he was unable to move the dryer to get behind it and required us to get movers to come in. A mover pulled it out in 30 seconds, not sure why a full grown man that is used to fixing dryers wasn't able to do the...perhaps he loosened it up for the mover :). Samvel came back 2 days later and open the unit to diagnose a thermostat malfunction. He indicated he didn't have this part on his truck in spite of his report that he usually has 10 of them. Not sure why he didn't stock up before his second trip since this was one of his top 3 likely causes. Of course this was a friday and he said it would take 3-5 days for them to get the part from LG. I called their main office and they were completely unhelpful (apparently their technician manager was on vacation and nobody was able to help). We called LG directly and they sent the actually LG employed repair guy in Denver out first thing Monday morning. He confirmed it was a bad thermostat and replaced the heater and thermostat since this usually is caused by the heater overheating. Was done in 30 minutes and very pleasant. Would not recommend MGR in Denver, or Samvel. Terrible - scheduling was a mess thru LG.“Offered” appointment from 8-12, after 2 days wait - then MGR requested change to 7-10am forcing me to be up extra early - almost knowing that no one will show up that early. Text then says technician running late after waiting over 2 hours already - will be closer to 12 noon. Now a possible 5 hours wait. Guy knocks into my mirrored doors with the equipment!! Goes in & out at least 6 times - on the phone (surveillance camera), what is he doing?? Not servicing my fridge!! Had to pay LG upfront with a credit card hold - called their “flat rate” at almost $500 just to get an appointment!! After going in & out of the house too many times - tech guy says the fridge was not repairable (??)!! Mine had a complicated power issue that could have easily fried the entire unit, but Ash quickly diagnosed and resolved it perfectly. He understood every detail of the technology and handled the repair with confidence and precision. Dishwashers can be tricky, especially with all the electronics these days, but Ash clearly knows his stuff. Quick, professional, and flawless work — highly recommend!
